Some festivals sell tickets first then find they can't make it work! Our approach is different - we are first doing all we can to ensure enough people are ready to commit to the festival. To do this, we are using the 'Crowdfunder' platform for you to book your tickets, rather than a traditional ticket merchant.

Why use 'Crowdfunder' to book tickets?

From your perspective it’s just the same, except it gives you added security. We have all heard of or been affected by events getting cancelled recently, so we know some people are wary of committing too soon in case they lose their money. Equally, we can’t plan the festival and commit to booking everything we need to run it if we don’t know people will come. So we thought about how to square the circle….

Using the Crowdfunder platform helps us both. When you book a ticket your payment is held by Crowdfunder, not us. They call it pledging but actually it’s effectively the same for you as buying a ticket but with an added safety net!

When we reach the target of the equivalent of 400 4-day ticket sales (these are offered at the earlybird discounted price), we will have enough to be confident the festival can go ahead. Day tickets and camping places for tents, caravans and motorhomes are now available too (same basic price for all, unlike some festivals!) and these all count towards reaching the target. Crowdfunder then sends your ticket money to us and we send you your ticket(s).

If we don’t reach the target then your money is automatically refunded to you by Crowdfunder – you don’t have to ask for it and you get 100% of it back.

So there’s no need to wait. And remember our price promise – we will never offer these tickets for less, later!

Remember, it remains essential for you to book tickets as soon as possible. We have extended the target date for a limited period, to help you, however we need to secure all of the infrastructure we need (PA, lights, stages, marquees, toilets, security, bar, etc) – we cannot leave that until the last minute or even the last few months! If you don’t, the festival will not happen so if you want NVRF to happen, tell your friends!

We will be allowed a maximum of just 1,000 festival-goers each day; either with 4-day or one day tickets, so don't wait too long! Both 4-day and 1-day tickets are available now.

Once the crowd-funder target is reached, remaining tickets will be available from our own ticketing platform.
Important note:
At the checkout you will see a box labelled "Summary".
Crowdfunder gives you the option to make a donation to us – see the box circled in green. This defaults to zero. Anything extra you add here comes to NVRF and will be gratefully received (if the festival goes ahead).
Crowdfunder also seeks “tips” for itself – see the box circled in red. This is set by Crowdfunder to default to 20% and does not go to NVRF. Be aware that we already pay a significant fee to Crowdfunder so unless you wish to assist them further, you should change this to zero. If your total is more than you expect, this is probably the reason!
